Atlas Shrugged

I actually stopped reading it because Rand took too much time to shamelessly promote her philosophy of Objectivism instead of advancing a pretty decent story-line. Who is John Galt? Well, like Rand, it turns out that he's a narcissistic rambler who is only capable of viewing the world subjectively in it's extremes. In the end, I'm glad that I read as much as I did. As redundant as it was, I got Rand's point. I feel as if I have a somewhat better understanding of foundational Libertarian thought than I did before. However, I have no desire to pick up another Rand novel. I disagree with her philosophy and will seek out other sources to understand the American political landscape
